Frequently asked questions

How can I check a phone number before sending money in Nepal?

Type the number into the search box on the home page, in any format (98XXXXXXXX or +977...). You will see how many independent reports exist, in which categories, whether evidence was reviewed and whether the information is disputed. "No reports found" does not mean the number is safe, so still verify the seller independently and avoid paying in advance.

What should I do if I have already paid?

Keep every chat, screenshot and receipt and do not delete anything. Contact your bank or wallet provider immediately, report to Nepal Police Cyber Bureau, and submit an incident here so others can be warned.

How do I report online financial fraud in Nepal?

File a complaint through the official Nepal Police Cyber Bureau channel. You can also submit a report on this platform, but that does not replace a police complaint.

How can I preserve evidence?

Take full screenshots of the conversation, the profile or advertisement and the payment confirmation. Save URLs and transaction IDs, keep the original files unedited, and upload copies: every file receives a SHA-256 hash so it can later be shown that it has not changed.
