Check the account number

Enter the account number in the search box. Spaces and hyphens are ignored, but digits must match exactly: financial identifiers are never fuzzy-matched, so a near-miss will not produce a false hit.

Results show only the last four digits (for example *********3333), the number of incidents, the categories and whether evidence was reviewed. The full number is restricted.

Before you transfer

  • Make sure the account holder name matches the person or business you are dealing with. A different personal name on a "company" account is a warning sign.
  • Be wary of requests to pay to a third party's account or to a different account than first agreed.
  • Prefer cash on delivery, payment in person, or an escrow-style arrangement for new sellers.
  • Check the seller's phone number and any wallet they give you as well; scammers often reuse several identifiers together.
