Common patterns

  • Copied listings: real photos taken from other sellers or websites, with a lower price.
  • Brand-new pages: a page created days ago, few followers, no history of real customers, or a recently changed name.
  • Move to chat: the seller moves you to Messenger or WhatsApp and asks for an advance or "booking" payment.
  • Fake proof: edited payment screenshots or "courier receipts" to make you believe an order is on the way.

How to check

  1. Look at how old the page or profile is, its posts over time and whether real customers tag or comment.
  2. Search the seller's number, account and wallet here, and paste the profile link into the search box.
  3. Reverse-search the product photos to see if they appear elsewhere.
  4. For high-value items, meet in a public place and inspect before paying. See the six-step checklist.

If you were deceived, take screenshots of the profile and chat before the seller deletes them, then follow these steps.
